What is happening?

A seismic survey will be carried out along existing roads and tracks over about 423 km, using 4 to 5 large trucks and numerous support vehicles.

Why is this survey being done?

This survey operates under the NSW critical minerals and high-tech metals strategy 2024–35, which focuses on supporting our renewable energy transition.

The survey data will be used by government, industry and farmers to better understand the geology, geohazards and potential groundwater and mineral resources in the region.
